I found the issue was based more on an occupational calling as opposed to a spiritual calling. Granted healthcare is a legitimate concern I don't see salary packages and budgets as the greatest challenge for the small church.

I was some disapointed in the conversation entitled "The Small Church's Greatest Challange." Not that I disagree entirely but yet I'm not sure that that's the problem. If small is suggesting a fellowship of 250 or less I would agree that finances might be tight, however, if that fellowship tithed their income that may solve most problems. How can I say what I want to say without being a little negative. I certainly don't want to be. In the US we live during a time of great abundance... GREAT ABUNDANCE... A study of Daniel suggests that here in the US there is all kinds of money available for ministry, Do we believe or don't we? Downsize, "Oh My Goodness."

The small church's greatest challeng is attracting true servants who are lead by the spirit and not by the size of the salary package. We have too many manufactured ministers and few who are truly called or answer the call to the ministry. As Christians and true servants; the mega church should be more supportive of the small church's needs to assist in outreach for those who are unable, incapable, disabled, or have fallen through the cracks of the mega church. The next topic should be "Whats wrong with the mega church"? There are as many leaving the mega church as are joining because they cant seem to get plugged in due to the status of their social situation within the church and are rejected by the cliques.
