Great help...but...what if relational intimacy is not reciprocated by the members? The small churches do have deep relational webs constructed, but the new members are not allowed to add their own thread and find it a hard, long, and arduous task to become involved. this then leads to two groups inside the small church....usually older then younger...or lon-term vs newbies. both stay because of relationships, but the church is split. It takes two to form intimacy...can it be bridged? Pray a lot...offer relational events...but each side shows up to their own events.
