Thanks for the article. I actually have the Mastering series from our old church library but haven't got down to poring through them. You've whet my appetite for me to head back to the books. :) I agree and affirm that indeed pastoral visitation is such a crucial and yet dying "art" or practice amongst pastors. Younger pastors in Singapore take on a more specialist, rather than generalist, approach to ministry e.g. youth, worship, missions, and lose out on the traditional pastoral role of care and visitation.
